Developing a Vision for Growth and Change in Parkdale

Parkdale Community Association (PCA) is asking community residents, business owner/operators and other organizations operating in Parkdale for guidance and direction on how our community should develop and grow. Your input will guide our responses to new development applications and will form the community’s vision in a future community plan.

Parkdale community has approximately 1870 residents and 865 dwellings. Several bylaws and policies regulate development and land use in Calgary, including in Parkdale.

What is our process? 

Community input: We want to know what you think?

This process is starting now and will wrap up in July.  Please follow the link below and complete the survey.  If you prefer to complete a paper form, please call 403.283.5767 and one will be dropped off.  Questions can be directed to 403.283.5767.  

Create our future: Help us use the input to develop a plan.

You will be invited to participate in workshops between September and December 2021 where you will use the summarized input to help us develop concepts and options on the locations of higher density residences, commercial development and new connections and services in Parkdale. 

A vision for Parkdale

The concepts will be consolidated and a draft vision for the Parkdale will be developed and shared with residents for your review and consideration. A separate survey will be sent to local businesses to include their input.  Our objective is to arrive at a vision that will form the vision for the LAP. 

Finalization – AGM 2022

The vision will be presented for member approval at the Annual General Meeting in April 2022.
