The garden team will be hosting fundraisers of many kinds in the coming months. Please watch for these in the newsletter, on the website and at the market.
Meat Pie Fundaiser
Our second fundraiser offers a good selection of home made meat pies from Brenda’s Meat Pies – one of our quality vendors at the Farmer’s Market. Brenda is offering assorted meat pies at an affordable price, and a portion of every sale will be donated to the Community Garden.

Ceramic Mural Fundraiser
Our second fundraiser is a ceramic mural that community members will create with the support of a local ceramic artist and the Chair of the Garden Committee, Audrey Smith. You can sign up for a tile experience – sculpt a relief tile which you will glaze and after firing will be assembled as a mural and installed onsite. Sign up at the Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays or by contacting Audrey directly.
Along with fundraisers we will be depending on donations of many kinds from our community. We have already received some generous investment in the garden from some of our Parkdale families. If you would consider adding to the financial security of this project in that way please speak with Bill Biccum.
