Getting involved with the Garden

The Parkdale Garden and Gathering Space is about more than gardening – it’s about planting the seeds of community.

While all the present beds are presently occupied, there are many ways to get involved with the project, from joining the waitlist for new beds, helping raise funds for the construction of the next phase of beds, or join our team of volunteers!

Join the waitlist

Garden Cleanup_0007While all 44 of the beds in the garden are spoken for, we are always looking for more people to going the Garden! By joining the garden waitlist you are automatically added to the garden mailing list, getting the latest news and events around the garden directly in your inbox.

Garden beds cost $50/year and every gardener is asked to sign a Gardener’s Agreement that includes specific obligations for members of the Garden. Please review the agreement in full to ensure that you can commit and ensure you read the Garden Risk Assessment  and Garden Terms of Reference as well.

Volunteer with the Garden

There are always plenty of opportunities to get involved with the Garden, whether you want to get your hands dirt or not! We are always on the lookout for people who want to help us:

  • Plan and build the next Garden phase
  • Help with general Garden maintenance
  • Work with one of our many Team Leads
  • Raise funds for Garden construction
  • Get the word out about the Garden

Please complete the Volunteer Consent Form and email garden@parkdalecommunity.com if you want to get involved!
