Some of us have expressed interest in welcoming a Syrian refugee family to our community, and I am certain we are not alone. This is a call to those wishing to participate in such a humanely fulfilling adventure.
To succeed in this quest, we envision:
- A core team of sponsors to provide the necessary resources (guidance, assistance, materials, etc) – a few hours per week
- A larger support team from which the core team can draw resources (guidance, assistance, materials, etc) – a few hours per month
- Pledge of monetary contribution
There are many good resources available on the web to get a feel for what is required of a sponsor group.
