The Parkdale Planning & Development Committee will be reviewing the proposed redevelopment at the corner of 29 St. NW and Parkdale Blvd. NW on February 10, 2015 at 7 p.m.
Parkdale residents are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the proposal and provide comments. The meeting will be held in Rehearsal Hall B, lower level, Parkdale Community Centre, 3512 5 Ave. NW.
Brookfield Residential has applied to amend the land use on the vacant land bounded by 29 St. NW on the east, Parkdale Blvd. NW on the south and 30 St. NW on the west. The application is to change the land use on the existing nine vacant lots from R-C2 (residential, contextual one/two dwelling) to a Direct Control District to accommodate multi residential development. The new land use will permit the development of 24 ground-oriented town houses located on both sides of a centre east-west lane in the middle of the parcel.
The Parkdale Planning & Development Committee will review the application and related development plan details with the applicant at its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 10. Following that discussion the committee will be preparing a response to The City of Calgary.
