Speaker Series: Gardening with Bees – May 9

Gardening for the Promotion of Native Bee Diversity: Why Diversity Matters

with Alexandria Farmer MSc Ecology, MRU, Dept of Biology

Native bees in our province go largely unnoticed. In this talk many myths will be addressed, and the importance of diversity in pollinators, rather than the alternative to honeybee monocultures, will be highlighted. Gardening tips will be provided that help feed and maintain native biodiversity throughout the growing season.
